Welcome to Naut 2 Shabby Cottage! This 1922 Old-Florida-style cottage pool home is the front unit on the property, located on Pine Avenue just half a block from the Anna Maria City Pier and Tampa Bay, and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Rent a bike or catch the free Island Trolley to explore the Gulf end of Pine Avenue in just a few minutes' ride!
At the home, you'll be charmed by the eclectic and homey decor.The backyard was made for fun in the sun! The private heated pool and hot tub nestled next to the tropical landscaping and soft, springy turf surrounds the pool. Complete with Adirondack chairs, loungers, and a 4-top table with umbrella, you'll have everything you need right at the house!
The interior is nice and cozy and includes updated amenities such as a large flat-screen SmartTV, fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and updated interior. The dining area in the sunny enclosed front porch easily seats six or dine outside.
There are three bedrooms in this historic cottage. The first bedroom has a Queen bed and an attached bathroom featuring a turn-of-the-century bathtub equipped with a handheld sprayer. The second bedroom has a King bed. The third bedroom has a 2 sets of twin bunk beds. The second bathroom has a shower only and is shared. A washer and dryer are available as well, located in a standalone laundry room shared with the property's rear unit.
This ground-level cottage will feel like your home-away-from-home! To sleep an additional 2- 4 guests check out Naut 2 Shabby Bungalow to rent along with the Cottage to sleep a total of up to 12 guests.

No credit, discount and/or rate adjustment can be granted for items mentioned above or circumstances beyond our control. There will be days when the weather conditions will not allow pool heaters to accommodate swimming and temperature recovery times will vary.
Per the City Noise Ordinance: Quiet hours are to be observed between the hours of 10 pm to 8 am daily. This includes noise at the pool area. Please be especially mindful of loud music and loud voices when in and around pools or outdoor areas. Please refer to the rental agreement for further details and possible citations.
Minimum Age to rent 25. All guests occupying a property who are under the age of 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

"Wonderful location, everything you need for kids and very clean! Loved the persistent but very effective pool alarm on the back door for peace of mind with small children. Pool is also great for younger children with a wading area. Backyard felt like an oasis!

"Great property. Location is perfect for exploring the island, we walked from the cottage a lot. 5 mins up to the nearest beach, shops and amenities very close.
Cottage itself is a great set up for a family, our kids loved the bunk room. It's got lovely touches and we enjoyed the decor and feel of the place. Kitchen is well equipped with a huge fridge freezer with ice maker and the kitchen has everything you need. Pool was lots of fun as was the private garden, shady in the afternoon which is great after a beach morning. The beach equipment available to borrow was a very welcome addition and we even borrowed on our check out day so we could have shade on the beach.
Everything with Fran Maxon was as it should be with quick and easy communication. We would happily stay with them again and would definitely return to Naut too Shabby.

"The location was great - an easy walk to all you could need, including The Waterfront (delicious restaurant). Our kids spent all their time in the pool and on the beach. Also, the beds were very comfortable. Only snag was that the lockbox for the key was jammed at check in but after calling, someone came by and helped us in. "This property was truly amazing for anyone that is looking for a wonderful cottage experience with the charm of the island. Myself and three sisters celebrated a big milestone in our lives and it was amazing to have such a comfort knowing that the process was easy to get in & enjoy. the pool was warm the hot tub was hot the only item that we had problem with was the Internet which was not necessarily the fault of the rental unit itself. it was so unbelievably convenient and so much fun! "A very cozy place by the pier. Very comfortable beds. The only suggestion we have would be to have more cups and wine glasses. Also more basic supplies (toilet paper, dishwasher pods and garbage bags). But otherwise it was a delightful place, center of the action and right off the trolley. Coffee, food and little shops were within just a few short steps. A wonderful beach was just a 10 minute walk. We weren’t able to use the pool and hot tub until the last two days due to a heavy rain when we arrived (likely knocked out power) but this issue was fixed quickly once we reported this to management. - as reviewed on VRBO

"I could write several paragraphs so I’ll try to keep this short. The house is exactly as advertised! It’s a shabby chic cottage. I loved every nook and cranny of this eclectic home. The only thing I would suggest is the floors need to be redone. They’re in pretty bad shape. But the rest of property is so phenomenal it didn’t bother me in the slightest! The beds are comfy, the house was clean! Let’s talk about the yard. It was amazing! That pool! OMG! So gooood! Even though it’s on the smaller side 5 kids and 4 adults swam comfortably. The heater works so well and we paid the extra fee for extra hot water. The yard was where we lived. Location...perfect. Walk next door to the general store for everything you need. And they have KILLER sammiches-get the steak. Delish! The pier is just to the right and the beach is 2 long blocks away. It’s definitely walkable unless you have little kids then you’d probably still drive it. Everything is on Pine Ave. Ice cream shops both directions! Cant. Go. Wrong. The management company is the most amazing one we have ever dealt with EVER. They are incredible!!!! Love Wes and Sasha. Things I’d change: •need keyless entry •more beach towels (they get soaked fast) •plastic dishes/glasses (all glass currently) •more toilet paper and paper towels I feel like this house was mine while I was there. I want to buy it! You cannot go wrong with this perfect cottage in the perfect location!

"My husband and I stayed for a quiet getaway in January. Unfortunately, the week we stayed was chilly but we were able to enjoy the heated pool and hot tub despite the weather. Outdoor space is very relaxing. We utilized the bikes to get around the island. Walking distance to beach, bay, restaurants, and general store. The house was shabby chic beach theme and very comfortable. My husband had fun “playing” the piano at night. We’re thrilled we chose this house and would love to visit again.

"Overall, we were satisfied with this our stay at this property. Cute little place to call home for a few days. It's nothing fancy, but gets the job done. Very clean, comfortable beds, good bathrooms. As far as Anna Maria Island goes, we loved the vibe. It's pretty chill. I think Siesta Key is more where the party is at, which wasn't what we were looking for. Pros: Location, walkable to pier and shops/stores/food, little street noise at night, pool and hot tub were great - just be sure to give hot tub time to warm up, stuff for beach - there was a wagon, chairs, bodyboard, beach mat, and cooler available that we used Cons: Washer and dryer are shared with other units - luckily didn't run into issues competing with other people - same goes for the beach equipment - it's shared - it's possible you may not get the stuff you want - no coffee or laundry detergent included - in my mind, this should always be included - it is for most houses we rent.

"Fun, funky bungalow. The backyard space was very relaxing. This property is on one of the main streets but was surprisingly quiet and very convenient to restaurants. We only used our car to get groceries. There was a nice cart to haul chairs, etc to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms a little odd or cramped but not a problem. Common indoor space was roomy.

"It was a wonderful location. Very clean and well stocked for renters! The pool area made it great when you didn’t want to go to the beach and be around the crowds of people. It is a good distance to the beach, but there was a wagon, chairs and umbrellas there for your use.

"We spent an extended weekend here for a girls getaway. It was perfect! The decor is fabulous and creates a wonderful, relaxing, and nautical feeling. We loved the pool and hot tub. It was made for the best late night swims and evenings after the beach!!! There’s a convenient store and ice cream shop practically next door (approximately a minute walk). The location of this cottage is great too. It’s on one of the roads with lots of shops and restaurants, but it’s far enough away to have minimal traffic. The beautiful beach is right down the road (walking distance-10 minutes), and then there’s also the pier and bayside even closer. We never wanted to leave. So perfect!

"I discovered AMI on a drive up to Tampa and instantly fell in love with this beautiful island. We booked our trip immediately after finding the cottage online and it is just as charming in person as it is online. "This home is clean and cute but their is a mildew smell that remained on our clothes after our stay. Items hung in bedroom closets were difficult to get the mildew odor out of. Home needs a dehumidifier system. The small one on the back porch area is inadequate. The back yard is private and amazing!

"I stayed at Naut2Shabby cottage with friends. I loved the eclectic decoration style.It was exactly my style,so I was very comfortable there.It was very convenient to the pier and in walking distance to the Sandbar,many restaurants and shopping.The best part was the backyard. We enjoyed the pool , hot tub, and spent as much time there as possible. At night the lighting is very festive.I will definitely return ASAP!
