Things To Do......Florida is known as a world class vacation destination. Many of the state attractions are within a few hours drive from Anna Maria Island. If you would rather stay on the island, you can enjoy the seven miles of beaches or watch the many varieties of wildlife known to the area. Explore the natural habitats found on Leffis Key or fish from Anna Maria City Pier for one of the many saltwater species found in Florida waters.You may spot a manatee, or see the splendors of a loggerhead turtle hatch! The crystal waters surrounding Anna Maria Island offer many opportunities for enjoyment. Dive in for a refreshing dip, or grab a snorkel and explorer the wonders of watching the many varieties of sealife. If you would rather catch than watch, Anna Maria Island has several fishing piers. There are fishing charters available for both grass flats and offshore fishing.
